Be unapologetically yourself

The moment one reads this line, often the ones who get most stressed are Type A personalities and INFJ’s. I can relate. I understand. For a large part of my life I have been a conformist.

Unfortunately, being unapologetically yourself is associated with being a rebel. The stereotype rebel is the one who breaks rules and policies. Rules, structure and policies are sheer cages and the one who can burst these is the one who is being an unapologetically true self. This makes my stomach churn. It creates discomfort.

I am a structure lover. I am a conformist for my peace. Rules and processes appeal to me. To an outsider, conformist behaviour is stressful because he’d rather do something else. For me it’s a way of life.

Some of you may have agreed with me. I am here to tell you; you don’t have to loosen up; you don’t have to be a rebel, you just need to be comfortable in your skin. This skin changes over time and so over time you, too, will change. That’s still being yourself.

Be the current you — unapologetically.

The truth is, in this moment, I can’t write 500 word articles. Writing small paragraphs and passages is coming easier to me. An algorithm can’t bog me down. Experts can make recommendation for making millions but I am here to use this “medium” to find my voice.

This year I am committed to show up as I am in the moment — some days it will be a para and some days it can be a two-page article.

Some may agree with what I have written and some are going to add me to their marketing list to help me write better. That’s being them. They can be them, I can be me!

Here’s wishing everyone a very happy 2023 filled with good health and outstanding success.

I also thank in advance to those who are showing support and encouraging me to write to find my voice.
